The night before Valentine's Day, I was randomly drawn to this floral frock and decided I would don it for the holiday. By chance, the bouquet that greeted me the next morning matched it perfectly. Naturally, a photo shoot was in order! Hope you're having love-filled February.
I went with a mix of girly pink and edgy leather for an early Valentine's date this past weekend. The silk blouse and velvet ribbon lent some luxury and provided a nod to the holiday, while the rest of the look kept things cool and casual.
Top: Rachel Comey (secondhand) worn with some random ribbon
Jacket: Straight to Hell
Boots: H by Hudson
I know this problem could easily be remedied with a little planning and prioritizing, but the sun's winter schedule is really cramping my blogging style! Time and time again, I find myself wearing a decently cute ensemble with no sunlight to capture it. Because of that, I keep repeating outfits in hopes that I will finally snap some pics. On one hand, I'm getting a little bored of certain pieces. On the other, I'm getting lots of wear out of them!
Shirt: Anthropologie (worn with sash from a dress)
Shoes: Vintage Bass
I grabbed these vintage overalls at the thrift store recently. When I tried them on, I was convinced they didn't fit right, but of course I bought them anyway. Something compelled me to try them on again at home a couple of weeks later, and they magically fit! Since then, I've been rocking them on repeat. They make me feel like a fashion-savvy 30-year-old kindergartner...in a good way.
