Quick Getaway

Last week I enjoyed a much-needed one-night vacation at a nearby hotel. The stately old building and crisp weather felt perfectly suited to a cozy, casual outfit. Even though I was relaxing, this look had a bit of back-to-school feel in the best way possible.

Modern Minimalism

This outfit is a prime example of how my style has evolved. These days I'm drawn more than ever to sleek, simple silhouettes. That said, my soft spot for color and kitsch will never go away.

Potato Sack

Of course just as cool fall temps start to set in, I find this perfectly easy sack of a dress. Even though it would have been a savior during those sweaty days of summer, I'm content to layer it up too. It's just too comfortable not to wear!

Fancy Pants

I love any excuse to get gussied up! When my friend threw a cocktail party for her birthday recently, I knew it was the perfect time to break out this crazy thrift find. Despite the fact that it's not exactly my style, and the neckline is more plunging than what I usually go for, it was one of those "I kind of have to buy this" moments. And I'm glad I did! The coverage on bottom balanced out the skin on top, and other than being a little wary of a wardrobe malfunction, I felt great in this get-up.

Good Jeans

Hello out there! It's been awhile. These new (to me) jeans have been my go-to lately. The fit isn't entirely perfect, but the wash is so good and the length is actually cropped on me. It's rare that I don't have to cuff, cut or hem my pants. Give me good denim, and I'm one happy girl!
