Paint It Black

Dress: Forever 21 via Goodwill, $3 // Earrings: Forever 21, $8 // Sunglasses: Target, $11 // Shoes: Vintage, thrifted, $1

I don't typically match my shoes to my dress, but I just couldn't resist the simplicity of these two newly thrifted items in combination.

The lining of the dress was peeking out from the hem, so I assume its previous owner accidentally shrunk it. I suppose that's the beauty of thrifting: one woman's trash is another woman's perfect mod mini dress. Don't worry - I wore it over leggings at work. After hours, those were quickly swapped out for biker shorts in the face of oppressive humidity.

And, of course, I couldn't forget my most favorite black accessory of all: Mr. Igby!

This is a great dress. I really like the details of the fabric. And the pup is adorable.

This is one of my favorite outfits of yours ever. I am beyond in love with the shoes especially. The dress is shorter than I would were, but it works really well on you; you have such skinny legs.

I love that even your dog matches your entire outfit. :) You instantly reminded me of a much healthier-looking version of Edie Sedgwick with the mod and short hair!

I'm loving this look. I really don't mind an outfit with matching black dress and shoes. I'm sorry, but a full black outfit is awesome!

The matching dress, shoes and dog are all most excellent! Those shoes are wonderful for $1 and that dress looks perfectly '60s.

I JUST GAVE THE DRESS TO LAWRENCE GOODWILL 2 WEEKS AGO. If you got that in Lawrence, it could be the same one I donated. I should have given it directly to you. It was too short on me. I also think your former roommate borrowed that dress and wore it for halloween.

Haha, that is so funny! I did get it at Lawrence Goodwill, so I'm sure it is yours. :) I remember when former roomie wore it! I'm glad it made its way to me.

Hope all is well with you!

You have an eye for cheap, thrifty stuff which I love because that's what I do.
Your style is also absolutely amazing. :)
