Halloweekend

I refuse to accept that Halloween is over and plan to stay in the spirit through the end of the weekend. Then I'll move on! For those who feel the same way, I've compiled a couple of little lists --  a few of my favorite scary movies and a spooky playlist! Watch, listen and enjoy!

Rosemary's Baby
This Roman Polanski classic is just as chilling today as it was in 1968. Rosemary's psychological terror builds brilliantly, the aesthetic is eerily beautiful, and I want all of Rosemary's mod clothes!

The Orphange
Produced by Guillermo del Toro, this Spanish thriller is filled with old-school scares and atmosphere and doubles as a moving drama.

Trick 'r Treat
This anthology horror film a la Creepshow is a fun, more lighthearted watch. Though I didn't love every detail, it was thoroughly entertaining!

Cabin in the Woods
A brilliant meta-movie from the minds of Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, this dark comedy parodies and pays homage to horror movie tropes, all while weaving an incredibly original story of its own.
