Sale Rack Saga

Dress: Target, $6 // Jacket: yesstyle.com, purchased with credit // Shoes: Lucky Brand, courtesy of Lucky Magazine // Necklace: JCPenney, $10 // Belt: Thrifted, $1 // Bag: Courtesy of Le Mode Accessories

You all know I'm a serious bargain-hunter, but sometimes that can backfire. Often, I will cruise the sale rack or thrift store and buy items just because they're cheap. I'll say to myself, "I like this. I'll wear it at least once. And it's only $5!" Then I end up with heaps of stuff that I'm just so-so about instead of one or two items I truly love. Anyway, this dress was a mindless sale rack purchase, but I have faith that it was a worthwhile one! Sure, it's trendy, but it's also pretty basic, and I never tire of stripes! I wore it right after bringing it home on Friday evening to check out some local art openings. Only time will tell if it's a true keeper. And either way, I'm only out the price of a cocktail.

Ha! I almost bought that same dress on clearance too. But it was the wrong size and I sat there trying to convince myself that somehow it was still worth it. :) I found the willpower somewhere to put it back.

I love striped maxi dresses and yours looks wonderful with the heels, belt and jacket. Looks like a keeper to me.

i'm the same way about the sale rack (especially at target) and thrift stores. but sometimes that's how you get the best stuff- you're a little unsure at first, but then it turns out you wear the item twice a week. the dress seems like one of those all-the-time items- you can style that so many different ways!

I think the dress is a real keeper! I love how you mixed it with those great shoes and the statement necklace!
I've been following your blog for a while but this is the first time I comment. You really rocked the maxi dress!

You always look so lovely. I purchase things just because they are cheap too - and end up with tons of unworn items! This dress is definitely worth it though! :)
