Jacket: Old Navy, $70 // Jeans: ZCo, $18 // Scarf: Gift // Boots: gojane.com, $30
Here is the outfit I wore en route to Chicago on Friday. Though it was way more than I would normally spend, I couldn't resist this taupe-colored wool jacket from Old Navy. I adore the big collar, cropped sleeves and waist tie. Sadly, $70 is a splurge for me, but I figure this is a timeless piece. I've barely taken it off since I got it, so I think it was the right decision. If I look disheveled, it's because this was taken at the end of a day of traveling. Lucrecia of Fashion is Poison kindly snapped the shot in the bathroom of our hotel (where the lighting was best).
seen them before. If they don't look familiar, that's because I dyed them black! Though I love grey as a neutral, I specifically wanted tall black boots for fall, and they also had annoying black stripes up the sides that now blend in. It was my first foray into dyeing. Based on the satisfying results of this project, it won't be my last.
Jeans: Guess, TJMaxx, $28 // Bracelet: F21, $9 // Hat: H&M, $15
Today I wore basically the same outfit with the exception of a different shirt underneath, different jeans and the addition of a couple of accessories I picked up in Chicago: a gold stud bracelet and a red bowler hat.
A post about the Chicago trip to come soon!
