A Very White Christmas!

Sorry for my lack of posting this week. Snow began to fall on Christmas Eve and didn't quit! I got snowed in at my parents' house sans camera cord, laptop and fast internet. It was a very fun couple of days filled with games, movies, good food and good people. I hope everyone else had a merry, magical Christmas!

That's one stylin' lil puppy dog. :)

Man, the snow was crazy. Ended up stuck driving through it after a Christmas Eve party. Trying to navigate your way home through a blizzard is not my idear of fun!

Completely understandable! My husband and I are about an hour or so from Lawrence (closer to Manhattan) and we were snowed in as well. Love Igby's sweater vest, have the same one for our Terrier mix, Murray. Happy Holidays!

Glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas! So... is your dog FULL of energy?! My cousin has one and I swear I feel like he is going to explode with love and energy. My boyfriend wants one so badly but I don't know if I could keep up!

That is the CUTEST dog. I want a pug badly, but my husband said no. Sad day.

Brittany -

He is absolutely full of energy! I think that's to be expected for the first two years of any puppy's life, regardless of breed. Is your cousin's dog an adult or puppy? It can be hard at times to keep up with him, but it's all worth it. He's the perfect cuddling companion when he's tired.

Me and the old man were cruising the women’s fashion blogs (don’t ask me, he’s not gay from what I can tell from the company he keeps) and we came across this lil’ hottie in the red plaid. He said, “She’s in Kansas, shivering in the snow, and we’re down here in Florida takin’ in the sun.”

Now I usually defer to him as he foots the food bill, but I nudged him a couple of times to show ‘im I wasn’t quitin’. “Maybe we could do a road trip…”

He promptly reminded me our main mode of transportation was an ’89 Alfa Romeo convertible, nothing more than a troublesome red tin can that isn’t good for distance much more than one can spit. Still, I can be charming if I try. I decided to harp on the woman in the blog.

“She’s cute,” I growled. I knew he hated the word. He prefers “beautiful” when cute will usually cut it.

“She’s a girl.”

“You like girls, right? I know you like girls. What was what’s-her-name’s name? The one last week that tried to prove she could cook and ruined your sauce pan?”

“Jesus, who cares if she can cook? Get a hold of yourself, would you?”

“I know in some of the pictures she’s got long hair, but she can go short. I know, I know, you’re always on me ‘bout my bangs, but it grows, you know. I liked to see the eyes, too, especially easy when they’re plopped on top of her head.”

“You talking ‘bout the girl or the dog?”

“OK, let’s just wish both the hotties a happy New Year and be gone,” he sighed.

“So when do we leave for Kansas?”
